TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

At SCCS, we’re dedicated to providing a comprehensive training experience for practicum students, offering both in-person and telehealth models of care. Our leadership team works diligently to design an educational program that builds strong clinical skills and prepares students for diverse service delivery methods. Whether in a traditional setting or through virtual platforms, SCCS equips future mental health professionals with the adaptability and expertise needed for today’s mental health landscape.

  • Clinical Hours: Fulfill required clinical hours through direct client interactions under expert supervision.

  • Specialized Training: Gain experience with diverse populations, including individuals dealing with self-harm, eating disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, and trauma.

  • Diverse Modalities: Learn and apply evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).

TIME COMMITMENT

  • Weekly triadic supervision (1 hour)

  • Weekly group supervision (2 hours)

  • Weekly direct client contact (5-10 hours)

  • Additional support hours: weekly meeting with mentor and/or supervisor in training (1-3 hours)
