LGBTQIA+ Services at SCCS: A Commitment to Inclusivity
At Supportive Connections Community Services (SCCS), we believe in creating a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for all individuals, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or expression. Our services are tailored to meet the unique mental health needs of the LGBTQIA+ community, offering compassionate care that recognizes the complexities of navigating life as an LGBTQIA+ person.
We will provide individual, couples, and group therapy specifically geared toward LGBTQIA+ clients, focusing on a variety of issues such as identity exploration, relationship concerns, trauma, discrimination, and self-acceptance. Our therapists will be trained in providing affirmative therapy, ensuring that every client feels seen, heard, and respected.
We are hopeful that SCCS will establish Meridian’s first LGBTQIA+ Center, which will offer not only mental health services but also serve as a hub for community support, advocacy, and education. Our vision is to build a space where LGBTQIA+ individuals can find both healing and connection, right here in Mississippi.
